You guys must feel REALLY bad for me . . . . I can't believe NO ONE commented on my BAD news!!! Don't worry . . . I'm fine. In fact I went to another auction today, and will go to another tomorrow. I couldn't believe the auction today. Can you believe they only auctioned off the 2nd mortgage to the property? I don't have enough business savvy to figure out why a person would want someone elses 2nd mortgage and not have any interest in buying the 1st mortgage . . . anyone with any ideas????? NOT ME!!!! maybe it gives you leverage? I don't know.

Anxiously Awaiting-Update

Well our news came today, and wasn't what we wanted to hear. The bank decided they needed more money for the house and are putting it on the market again. In a way, I'm somewhat releaved. . . . . at least we know and I can start looking again. Wish me luck!

How long have you been married? Going on 24 years. (you think you are OLD Stephanie!!)
How long did you date? 9 months total from 1st date until marriage. He was gone for 4 months during that time for basic training. We wrote a lot and talked on the phone a lot. I would joke that the only reason I was working was to pay my phone bill. And it was no joke, it was the truth.

Who does the dishes? we share the dish duty in our family pretty evenly. I’d have to say I have a slight lead in that area, however.

Who proposed? I don’t think he WAS going to propose. We had talked about marriage and I think he thought it was a done deal. One day his brother asked if we had set a date yet, and I looked at Lincoln and said “he hasn’t asked me to marry him yet.” Lincoln told me I was being a smart alec but dadburnit, I wanted to be proposed to. He proposed shortly after that conversation. . . .
Who has more siblings? We have the same 1 sister and 2 brothers.
Who wears the pants? Have you ever heard about the neck that turns the head . . . that is our situation, he is the head, but I am the neck. Tee hee!
What is your favorite thing about him? His smile, his unconditional love for me, his goodness. He is 100 percent with everything he does. He’s a great husband, a great father, a great provider, a great church leader. . . I could go on, but won’t. Love ya, Hon.

10 years ago... I was still living in Utah. I was a ward primary president, I was working at Unibase which I loved because I could still be a stay-at-home mom at earn money. I had just had my 4th and last baby. My sweet little McKay was probably about 1 at that time.
Things on my to do list today... since it is Saturday, it is a chance to spend time with my family, especially my husband. We will go to the world-wide training broadcast at the church. Maybe I'll read, maybe I won't. McKay has a friend over playing and so we are stuck at home supervising their play. Chancy is at a swim meet out-of-town, and we opted not to go to it. Snacks I enjoy... Anything with chocolate, and if it is a peanut/peanut butter mix with chocolate the more the better. I actually am trying, with the emphasis on "trying" to ENJOY snacking on carrots and celery ect.
What would I do if I were suddenly a billionare...I would definately be living in another house. I would have a baby grand piano . . . hmmmm maybe bigger than a baby grand if I were a billionare . . . yes definately bigger than a baby grand. I would travel a lot more, to Europe and Australia the Carribean and others. I'd probably give a percentage of the money to help other people. I think it is good for other people to work for what they get, but if I had a sudden wind fall of money I'd like to share it with my family and especially my children, helping them get educated and settled into a good life of their own.
3 of my Bad Habits....I think I'm naturally a pretty selfish person, I have to really work to put other people first. I eat too much sugar. I am a pessimist.
5 Places I have lived...Sutherland, Utah; Abraham, Utah; Salt Lake City, Utah; Taylorsville, Utah; Waldorf, Md.
5 Jobs that I have had...1. I worked at Zion's Bank doing odd things that needed to be done. Mostly checking signatures on checks and getting the bank statements out at the end-of-the-month. 2. I worked as a seamstress in Hinckley, Utah. I can't remember the name of the place. That was back breaking work. (Not fun) 3. I worked for US Testing as a secretary at IPP (Intermountain Power Plant) just outside of Delta, Utah, when they were building the power plant. 4. I worked for a place called Boyd Martin in Rose Park, Utah as a secretary. I think they have gone out of business, but they were a lawn care business, everything to do with lawns, lawn mowing, golf carts, sprinklers, pesticides, I worked in the shop area where they fixed the lawn mowers. 5. I worked for Ernst & Whinney as a word processing secretary. They are a BIG accounting firm, now called Ernst & Young. Okay I know you only asked for 5, but now I am a stay-at-home mom giving piano lessons privately in my home.
5 Things people might not know about me...hmmmmm, 1. I got released as the stake primary president the end of December, Yes!!!. 2. I now teach the 14-15 year old Sunday School class, and they are a great group of kids. 3. I hate sports, but do like to bike ride. 4. I enjoy speaking in church. weird, huh? 5. I think everyone knows everything about me because of this blog . . . . I can't think of anything else.
